Thomas Leng Musical Society Panto 2012

Thomson-Leng Musical Society
Jack and the Beanstalk

Tuesday 4th December - Sunday 9th December 2012 @ Gardyne Theatre
Something BIG is coming to Dundee this Christmas!
Following the massive success of last year’s production of Cinderella, Thomson-Leng Musical Society are back at the Gardyne Theatre this December with their larger-than-life production of another favourite family fairy-tale: Jack and the Beanstalk!
Times are hard for BeyoncĂ© Castle, our flamboyant and outrageously attractive pantomime dame. She’s completely skint and her daydreaming sons, Jack and Stupit Simon, aren’t proving much help either.
Her only hope of being able to pay rent to the evil Giant – via his beastly henchman Baldemort – is to sell their beloved pet coo, Moomoo. And when Jack is sent to market to do the terrible deed, he comes home with nothing but a handful of beans… and that’s when the magic really begins!
Join Jack, Princess Jill, Beyoncé Castle, Stupit Simon, King Kenny, Fairy Fiddlesticks and slapstick comedy duo Whyte and Mackay, as they climb the spectacular beanstalk to an enchanted land of excitement and adventure, where they must rescue Moomoo the Coo from the greedy grip of a very hungry Giant!
Will Jack succeed in rescuing Moomoo before the Giant turns her into coo peh (Broughty Ferry translation: cow pie)? Will Jack win the beautiful Princess Jill’s hand in marriage? Will the follically-challenged Baldemort get his comeuppance? And, most importantly, will there be some of that tasty strawberry ice cream on sale at the interval? There’s only one way to find out!
Packed with brilliant pop songs, sizzling choreography, dazzling pyrotechnics and jokes-a-plenty, Jack and the Beanstalk is a spellbinding show that’s not to be missed. So, if it's laughter you're after – bring your granny and the bairns!
Tickets:
Full Price £14
Concessions £12
Family £44 (2 adults, 2 children)

Rutherglen Repertory Theatre Pantomime 2012

Rutherglen Repertory Theatre

Rutherglen Repertory Theatre are putting on a pantomime in the local community of Rutherglen and Cambuslang at the beginning of December and thought some of the people who read your page may wish to come. The details are as follows. We are doing "Sing A Song of Sixpence" by Isabella C Rae. The Great Fandango and his troupe of would-be actors are in town! Hired by royal housekeeper, Ida Bridie, they hope to find fame and fortune by entertaining pie-eating Queen Gorgealot and miserly King Grabbalot. But Gypsy Diabola is planning a reign of terror with her flock of evil crows and a bag of magic rye. Who can save the day? Is there a fairy, an elf or even a pixie, strong enough to defeat her? Why not come along and find out?
We are doing the panto in the following venues,
Mon 3rd Dec Stonelaw Church Hall 7.15pm
Fri 7th Dec Roger Memorial Church Hall Blairbeth 7.15pm
Sat 8th Dec Kirkhill Hall Cambuslang 2pm and 6.30pm
